Reading Etc. makes its home at Health Communications,Inc., one of the nations leading publishers. HCI is also responsible for launching one of the World’s Best – Selling Collection of books, the endearingly inspirational and heart warming, Chicken Soup for the Soul series. With over 100 and still counting remarkable titles of Chicken Soup, and available in several languages, HCI manages to top the NY Times Best Sellers list almost annually.

You may be amazed, but every single book HCI publishes is handled with loving care at our own facilities. From editorial and artistic creations to printing and binding, our unique company has established a reputation of being masters in the craft of bookmaking over a thirty-year existence.

We invite you to take a tour of Health Communications’ Publishing and Printing facilities as well as participate in an awe - inspiring experience at Reading Etc. Along the way, watch as the Creative Design Group’s artisans fabricate various architectural themed elements for residential and commercial projects.

Payment Method & Sales Tax

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express as payment for all orders. Credit cards are billed at the time of shipment, not before. To ensure the best service, please make sure you provide us with a daytime phone number in case any questions or complications arise pertaining to you order.

Sales tax will be charged to your credit card reflecting our 6% state tax, if product is being shipped within the state of Florida.

Gift Services

Reading Etc. offers masterful gift wrap at the twist of a ribbon or bow. Gift wrap is available on almost all Reading Etc products, except oversized items. Our gift wrap service is $5.00 per item.

When you fill out an on-line order, you will have the option to personalize it with a gift message on our Reading Etc. gift enclosure card. This is a complimentary service.

Returns & Exchange Policy:

Committed to our superb selection of quality products, we take special pride in guaranteeing our customers complete satisfaction.

30 Days with Sales Receipt

If you find you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the product to Reading Etc. within 30 days from the date of purchase, and enclose the sales receipt for a refund on the cost of the merchandise less shipping and handling. The refund will be issued via the payment method you used to purchase the product.

After 30 Days With or Without Sales Receipt

If you wish to return any merchandise after 30 days from the date of purchase, simply return the product to Reading Etc. and either an exchange or store credit will be issued based on the current sale price .

* The cost of shipping & handling for returning any merchandise is the responsibility of the sender. Refunds do not include the cost for shipping & handling services. In the event, you wish to exchange merchandise, it is the responsibility of the customer to pay the shipping charges for both the return of old items and the shipping of the newly purchased products.

*All sales are final.

International Orders

Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill international orders at this time. Only orders shipping to the continental United States can be honored. We hope to fulfill international needs soon.

Expedited Ordering Information

If you wish to have your order fulfilled and shipped for Overnight or Second Day delivery, we must receive your on-line or phone order by 2:30 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Any orders received after 2:30 pm EST will be processed the next consecutive business day. Please note that unless requesting expedited shipping services in your order, all orders will be shipped standard ground, regular freight.

Overnight and Second Day shipping are available through Reading Etc. only within the Continental United States.

*As always, shipment of products are contingent upon availability.

Your right for privacy is extremely imperative to us. Unless granted your permission, Reading Etc. will not share, rent, sell, divulge, or otherwise use personal information you provide to us on our website. If you are interested in receiving product information and event listings, you may choose the opt-in selection, where noted. Should you decide to decline receiving information from us, you will then indicate the opt-out selection and any information provided to us will not be shared.

When you purchase with Reading Etc., a permission box appears on the purchase page. This enables you to periodically receive e-mail communications from us regarding special sales, newly introduced merchandise, store events, etc. Should you wish not to be able to receive such information, please uncheck.

If any of your information has changed and you want to update our files, or you no longer are interested in receiving information from us, feel free to e-mail us with the word “unsubscribe” in the subject line or contact us via the phone. ( see contacts )

Type and Use of Collected Information

When you place an order with us, we will ask for your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number. Your personal data is solely used for identity verification and to properly process your order. In addition, confidential information such as your credit card will only be used to fulfill your order.

If you are shipping product to a party other than yourself, the “ship to” information you provide us will also not be divulged to other groups or companies.

Secure Shopping Environment

All personal and purchase information you provide us is protected by a secured network accessible only to our Webmaster and Customer Service Department. All sensitive credit information provided during purchase is protected by our secure server software (SSL) and is not saved in our website records once your purchase is processed for approval.
